Green Card /Permanent Residence (Green Card) can be attained for family members of US Citizens and Permanent Residents (Green Card Holders) by applying for an I-130 Petition for Sponsorship.  Once the I-130 is approved, the beneficiary will be given a visa to lawfully enter the US.  Once inside the US, the beneficiary, the beneficiary can apply for the Permanent Residence with the sponsorship of the citizen / Resident family member.
